Day 17: a song that you hear often on the radio

As I spend my days in Food Lion (Delhaize) most days, I get to listen to the music there, which is every day more or less the same. I've heard Love Dealer by Esmée Denters a lot lately, haha.

But when I wake up and go have breakfast mum has the radio on stubru. A lot of annoying songs are popular, but I'm gonna go with one less annoying song that's played a lot. On that station anyway, I don't listen to any other station than Studio Brussel.

Zornik - Walk

Zornik is a Belgian band I don't really like... But sometimes they're ok. And Walk is not a bad song.

I have always liked Scared of Yourself, though! I am going to put the video under a cut.

My sister was supposed to be home 20 minutes ago. We've been taking care of the kids for the whole week now, they go to sleep at home but stay at ours during the day. And that is a lot of work and tiring. I was pissed off when Emma asked to come babysit some MORE but agreed because I would be home by 21.05. I had study plans, and I know I'll never get to it when I get home. :(

There is a spn femmeslash big bang happening. Sign ups are happening now. I'm tempted! But then again idk what pairing I would write. I'm kind of stuck on Jo from SPN and Parker from Leverage....

And I listen almost every day at stubru. I liked getting up with Peter Van De Veire, but Steven's good too.I like this radio station because they always have cool, unknown, new songs to play. Mostly I download them too.

And yeah, I agree with you about Zornik. they're sometimes ok. And I always liked Scared Of Yourself too :P.

ALLOW ME TO REPOST THE AMAZING LIST OF AU'S THAT I POSTED FOR KY AGES AGO.

OKAY OKAY UHM. WHAT WORKS REALLY WELL FOR ME IF I'M TOTALLY LOST ON IDEAS IS, LIKE, RECASTING A MOVIE? OR A TVSHOW? (One of my JoBros big bang is a Grey's Anatomy AU! :D) Sometimes it can fit SO WELL, you're like OMG THIS IS SO EFFING AMAZING *pounds out the whole thing*

The most common problem with that is that I already know how the story goes, more or less. So like, a bit in, I'm like UGH THIS IS SO BORING and I lose interest. :/ :/ :/

ANOTHER TIP: it helps if you don't focus on the WHOOOOOLE universe, like if you say college AUs (which I also ADORE), the possibilities are ENDLESS so you're like BUT WHAT DO I DOOOOO? Something to help that is, like, pick out one important detail and build your story around that. Liiiiike:

- one of the characters works in the campus bookshop! Book shenanigans.

- Coffee shop AU's always work very well too! Either Starbucks or independent indie shops.

THAT IS ALL I CAN COME UP WITH AT THE TIME BUT IF I THINK OF ANY GENIUS ONES I WILL LET YOU KNOW, KAY?

PS: if you want to stand out kidfic and mpreg are almost ALWAYS CROWDPLEASERS. :D Especially kidfic. MAYBE ONE OF THEM HAS A BABY AND THE OTHER HELPS THEM OUT IN A RIDIC. CHEESY WAY. As a nanny or just a neighbour or just some random dude!

...AND YOU COULD STILL ADD HIGH SCHOOL INTO THIS. ONE OF THEM COULD BE, LIKE, AT SCHOOL ALREADY? HIDING HIS ABILITIES AND STUFF, AND SUDDENLY THIS NEW KID ARRIVES AND HE HAS POWERS TOO (even if he might not know it) AND THEY'RE DRAWN TO EACH OTHER BUT SOMEONE RATS THEM OUT AND IT ALL GOES TO HELL. (After many HS related shenanigans, of course) Or the other way around, where one of them is a normal student, and then this new kid arrives and he looks all weird and he keeps TALKING to the normal one and then he reveals that he has POWERS and that the normal one actually has powers AS WELL and stuff.
